Mastopexy
Aesthetic Surgery
Mastopexy is an aesthetic surgery operation aimed at correcting mammary ptosis, which is what people call drooping breasts. The goal of the procedure is remodelling the breast, lifting it and improving its shape without necessarily changing its size.
It can be performed in association with the placement of a prosthesis, if breast enlargement is also desired. If the gland permits, the self-prosthesis technique is used, meaning, remodelling flaps of the gland to provide the lost projection without using an external prosthesis.
